Introduction to Waldorf education
WALDORF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TRAINING PROGRAM offers several courses at all teaching levels: Preschool Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education and High School; Waldorf Pedagogical Support and Curative Education (Special Education). It also promotes other artistic and human ethics training programs.
Rudolf Steiner founded Waldorf Education in 1919. In Stuttgart (Germany), he laid the basis for a methodology arising from the educator's freedom, initiative and creativity. Therefore, these courses pretend to be a contribution to the constant renewal of education.
It is based in daily research and in the understanding of the child as in constant evolution, regarding physical development, mental faculties and individuality.
Educating children requires a strong personal effort from adults in order to perceive the students’ maturing process and to be aware of both nature processes and the scientific, historical and social landmarks of our times.
